Nuclear and/or cytoplasmic expression of PANX2 was significantly associated with shorter OS and RFS of CCRCC patients in the univariate analysis, as well as with various poor clinical-pathologic prognostic parameters such as older age, larger tumor size, higher tumor stage, lymph node metastasis, higher histologic grade, and tumor necrosis (Table 2).
