Confirming LAMR1 functions in RA is considerably difficult due to its diverse extracellular and intracellular functions, lack of suffient knowledge on the nature of conversion of the 37-kDa LAMR1 protein to the higher molecular weight (67-kDa) species4–6 and difficulties in isolating LAMR1 +ve cells from inflammed synovial tissue. Here, RPSA is linked to rheumatoid arthritis.
