The expression of protein phosphatase 3, catalytic subunit alpha and beta (i.e., calcineurin A-alpha, [Ppp3ca] and calcineurin A-beta, [Ppp3cb]), myocyte-enriched calcineurin-interacting protein 1 (MCIP1.4, [Rcan1]), and the calcineurin-dependent cytoplasmic nuclear factor of activated T-cells (Nfatc4) did not change in CKD as compared to the sham group (Table 5).
