One study demonstrated that the ATR inhibitor AZD6738 induces a synthetic lethal phenotype in ATM‐deficient, but not ATM‐proficient, gastric cancer cells, and in vivo tumor growth of ATM‐deficient gastric cell xenografts was effectively controlled by treatment with AZD6738 compared with control (Min et al., 2017). The gene discussed is ATM; the disease is neoplasm.
