We tested a possible association between mortalin expression and thesurvival rate of patients using the open-access Rembrandt database containingdata on gene expression and the survival rates of patients with brain tumors.An analysis of this database(Fig. 5)demonstrated that a higher level of mortalin expression statisticallysignificantly correlates with poor survival of glioma patients. This evidence concerns the gene HSPA9 and brain neoplasm.
