Nevertheless, the hepatic UPR markers GRP78 and ATF4 correlated positively with the change in body mass (the last 2 days of the experiment) (Supplementary Figures 5A,B) and ATF4 correlated negatively with the tumor mass (Supplementary Figure 5C), suggesting that also some of the hepatic UPR indicators may be associated with the severity of cachexia. This evidence concerns the gene HSPA5 and neoplasm.
