CTNNA1 and major depressive disorder: Although the pathway itself did not show a clear relationship with neurological/neuropsychiatric traits, several genes in this pathway are frequently observed to be associated with neuronal and brain functions, such as calcium voltage-gated channel subunit genes (CACNA1C, CACNA1D), catenin genes (CTNNA1, CTNNA2) and SLC8A1. The ARVC pathway has also been previously observed in SCZ [19] and MDD [25].
