We found no association between serum albumin concentration and the presence of deep vein thrombosis (mean serum albumin concentration 31·4 mmol/L [SD 6·6] in patients with deep vein thrombosis vs 30·6 mmol/L [5·7] in patients without deep vein thrombosis; OR 0·98, 95% CI 0·93–1·03; p=0·43). Here, ALB is linked to deep vein thrombosis.
