Secondly, some B‐cell lymphomas classified as BL in the past are now classified as diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma or “B‐cell lymphoma, unclassifiable, with features intermediate between diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma and Burkitt lymphoma.” These lymphomas might have translocations involving c‐myc, bcl2, or bcl6 (named double‐hit or triple‐hit lymphomas) and have a worse prognosis than BL. The gene discussed is MYC; the disease is B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
