Interestingly, we found that PKCζ is involved in the activation of NF-κB signaling in human prostate cancer xenografts, and that PKCζ regulates the expression of HAS2; thus, PKCζ might indirectly manipulate the amount of HA in the extracellular matrix, a factor that promotes prostate tumor growth and is associated with a poor prognosis [20].
