This experimental setup allowed us to follow the antigen-specific T cell response following the first infection and after the subsequent immunization, in which a) the OVA-specific T cell response is primary after the infection and not boosted, b) the M38-specific CD8+ T cell response is primary after the infection and then boosted by the immunization, and c) the E7-specific T cell response (which is tumor-specific in case of TC-1 tumor challenge) is not induced during the first infection, hence is primary upon the immunization. This evidence concerns the gene CD8A and neoplasm.
