The role of P2RY6 in autophagy regulation was further supported by data showing that the P2RY6 ligand UDP and the specific P2RY6 agonist MRS2693 can restore normal monocyte differentiation through reactivation of autophagy in primary myeloid cells of chronic myelomonocytic leukaemia (CMML) patients. This evidence concerns the gene P2RY6 and monocytic leukemia.
