Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma (ALCL), ALK (Anaplastic Lymphoma Kinase) positive: Regarding the role of autophagy in ALK+ALCL therapy, Mitou et al. demonstrated that Crizotinib (the first ALK tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI)) treatment induced cytoprotective autophagy and that combining ALK inhibition with autophagy pharmacological or molecular inhibition improved the TKI drug efficiency [158]. The gene discussed is ALK; the disease is anaplastic large cell lymphoma.
