CXCR2 and myeloid sarcoma: Yet, we think that the demonstrated increase of endothelial CXCR2 expression in MS plaques, showing that inflammation-induced CXCR2 upregulation is not only an in vitro phenomenon but takes place at the neurovascular unit, may underline the pathophysiological relevance of the findings from our model system, although we were not able to corroborate our in vitro findings on barrier function with the available MS biopsy material in situ.
