STAT3 and neoplasm: JAK2 is a member of the JAK family of protein tyrosine kinases, which performs diverse functional roles in carcinogenesis.11 STAT3 is considered to be a critical transcription activator for cell survival‐related genes and cell cycle and its phosphorylation could be linked to HCC tumour progression.12 Many studies have reported that the activation of JAK2/STAT3 pathway contributes to progression of EMT in various cancer cells.13, 14
