Both western blot and real‐time PCR analyses revealed that the protective effect of miR‐302c on peritoneal fibrosis was associated with the blockade of MMT and fibrosis, which was manifested by preventing the down‐regulation of the epithelial marker E‐cadherin (Figure 5C4 and G) and the up‐regulation of the mesenchymal markers α‐SMA (Figure 5C2 and E) and collagen I (Figure 5C3 and F).
