Two BRAF-MEK inhibitor combinations (vemurafenib-cobimetinib and dabrafenib-trametinib) are currently regarded as treatment options for metastatic or unresectable melanoma [9, 10], and in the near future, a new combination therapy (encorafenib-binimetinib) is expected to emerge as a valuable alternative to established BRAF-MEK combinations [11]. Here, BRAF is linked to melanoma.
