CXCR2 and colorectal carcinoma: Using a CRC xenograft model, Yamamoto et al. reported that the CXCL1-CXCR2 axis was important in modulating the pre-metastatic niche of CRC liver metastasis, and that TSU68 (an inhibitor of VEGF receptor 2, platelet-derived growth factor receptor β and fibroblast growth factor (FGF) receptor 1) suppressed CXCL1 expression in the pre-metastatic liver, resulting in suppression of CXCR2+ neutrophils homing and subsequent liver metastasis [82].
