19(20)-epoxydocosapentaenoic acid, the principal epoxy metabolite of DHA that could also be stabilized by sEH inhibition, was found to mitigate the renal fibrosis in a mouse model of experimental UUO-induced renal fibrosis by decreasing renal epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (Sharma et al., 2016). This evidence concerns the gene EPHX2 and renal fibrosis.
