In previous studies, flow cytometry (FCM) detected PD-L1 expression in 12 glioma cell lines (Wintterle et al., 2003), most primary cultures of glioma cells (6/8) (Wilmotte et al., 2005) and glioma cells from a great number of human glioma specimens (Berghoff et al., 2015), demonstrating the presence of PD-L1 on cell surface of most glioma cells. Here, CD274 is linked to central nervous system cancer.
