In clinical trials, abnormal production of IL-6 and TNF-α in the peripheral blood of patients with schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders is the most replicated finding (Potvin et al., 2008; Miller et al., 2011; Upthegrove et al., 2014; Goldsmith et al., 2016), whereas the participation of anti-inflammatory cytokines, such as IL-10, remains poorly explored (Potvin et al., 2008; Miller et al., 2011; Goldsmith et al., 2016). Here, IL10 is linked to schizophrenia.
