Interestingly, a negative correlation between overall survival and MALAT1 expression was statistically significant in the patient group of diagnosis age below 60 (Figure 2B: n-high = 94, n-low = 415; P=0.014) or infiltrating ductal carcinoma (Figure 2C: n-high = 116; n-low = 661; P=0.006), and MALAT1 expression was an independent prognostic factor among them when MALAT1 expression level, ER status, PR status, lymph node status and diagnosis age were included in a multivariate cox regression analysis (Tables 2 and 3). Here, MALAT1 is linked to invasive ductal breast carcinoma.
