ALB and Dysphagia: In the cross-sectional analysis, polypharmacy (taking ≥6 medications daily) was associated with low baseline self-reported QOL, whereas widowhood was correlated with high baseline family-reported QOL after adjustment for age, gender, BMI, household status, marital status, economic status, medication use, visual acuity, hearing ability, communication, CCI score, functional status (ISDE and Barthel Index), bedsores, denture use, feeding intake form, dysphagia severity, and nutritional status (MNA-SF and serum albumin level) (Table 2).
