We demonstrated that the natural product complex NA suppresses the expression of AT1, the generation of ROS (H2O2 and •O2−), and the expression of inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, MCP-1, and TGF-β) produced via NADPH oxidase, which are related to hypertension, and that it increases the expression of anti-oxidant enzymes (catalase and SOD) in Ang II-stimulated H9C2 cells. This evidence concerns the gene FMO5 and hypertensive disorder.
