Plasma BDNF levels were significantly lower in patients with CHD than controls (CHD: 126.83 ± 15.39 pg/ml versus controls: 208.90 ± 25.13 pg/ml; p < 0.0125; n = 41 and n = 21 patients and control, respectively), whereas fibrinogen was similar in both groups (CHD: 2.77 ± 0.63 g/l versus controls: 2.63 ± 0.51 g/l). Here, BDNF is linked to coronary artery disorder.
