Analysis of 514 low-grade glioma patients (Fig. 1i, p = 0.0054) and 482 lung squamous cell cancer patients (Fig. 1j, p = 0.026) in GEPIA database (http://gepia.cancer-pku.cn) revealed that GLS1 mRNA levels above the median were significantly associated with decreased patient survival in low-grade glioma and squamous cell lung cancer. This evidence concerns the gene GLS and squamous cell lung carcinoma.
