The multivariate regression models, adjusted for cardiovascular risk factors, baseline features and clinical characteristics, showed that gender (male) and ABCA1 gene expression (OR = 1.352 CI 95% = 1.096–1.666; p = 0.005) were independently associated with CHD as well as SREBF2 gene expression (OR = 0.652CI 95% = 0.471–0.903; p = 0.010) was found to be a predictor of obstructive CHD independently by male gender (Table 3).
