Our previous studies have reported that CX3CL1, CX3CR1, and NF-κB are significantly increased after pulmonary embolism, and NF-κB signaling pathway and CX3CL1/CX3CR1 are perhaps directly involved in the whole inflammatory response of pulmonary embolism [11–14]. This evidence concerns the gene CX3CR1 and pulmonary embolism.
