Lafi et al. show that genotypes containing the variant allele of rs7041 (TT, TG) are associated with lower 25-VD concentrations than the GG genotype, whereas Daffara et al. did not find an association in coronary heart disease patients and suggest that 25-VD levels, but not VDBP genetic status, independently predicted the presence of coronary lesions at angiography [21,22].
