We performed a nested case-control study where we measured circulating GATA2 mRNA levels at 28 weeks in participants who went on to develop late-onset preeclampsia and controls (maternal characteristics summarised in supplementary table 2) and similar groups at 36 weeks’ gestation (the maternal characteristics and clinical outcomes for these participants are summarised in Table 1, demographics and pregnancy outcome data in supplementary table 3). Here, GATA2 is linked to preeclampsia.
