These changes in cell behavior parameters, which are hallmarks of cancer, were accompanied by altered mRNA levels of cancer-relevant direct targets of miR-10b: BCL2L11, NCOR2 and PIEZO1. Taken together, these results provide evidence to the physiological significance of miR-10b down-regulation in primary breast tumors, as reported by our and other studies. The gene discussed is NCOR2; the disease is breast neoplasm.
