While we observed the suppression of IL‐17 production across all T‐cell subsets in vitro, it reached statistical significance only in CD3+CD4−CD8− cells, which is in line with the fact that these cells are the predominant source of IL‐17 in hypertension (Caillon et al., 2017; Saleh et al., 2016). This evidence concerns the gene IL17A and hypertensive disorder.
