IBSP and lung carcinoma: Previous studies have shown that expression of some biochemical compounds (e.g., bone sialoprotein, osteopontin, and N-telopeptide of type I collagen (NTX), serum cross-linked carboxyterminal telopeptide of type I collagen (ICTP) and the aminoterminal propeptide of type I collagen (PINP)) strongly associated with development and progression of BM in lung cancer patients.[10–16] It is not enough to involve these biomarkers in predicting the incidence of BM/SREs.
