TheROC analysis identified plasma UCN1 concentration of46 pg/mL as the best cut-off point to differentiate womenwith endometriosis from those with no lesions, with 76%sensitivity, 88% specificity and an AUC equal to 0.827.However, an optimal cut-off that would distinguish endometriosisfrom other benign pathology (including benignovarian cysts, ovarian teratoma, hydrosalpinx, salpingitis, ectopic pregnancy, uterine leiomyoma and ovarian cancer)was not identified. The gene discussed is UCN; the disease is ovarian teratoma.
