The human rectal adenocarcinoma cell lines HR8348 and SW837 have been widely used as cellular models to study the intracellular mechanisms of action of therapeutic agents.39, 40, 44 In the present study, HR8348 and SW837 cells were used to evaluate the effects of TIPE2 both in vitro and in vivo and TIPE2 overexpression and knockdown experiments were performed. This evidence concerns the gene TIPE2 and rectum adenocarcinoma.
