IDO2 and cancer: Index PC cases with the 12T allele were significantly more likely to have first-degree relatives with Lynch-type cancers (colorectal, endometrial, gastric, and ovarian) as compared with cases without a family history of these cancers.* Both the IDO2 and the WEE1 SNPs may have significant implications for screening high-risk individuals and may also have value as a predictive marker for therapy using novel immune checkpoint inhibitors or DNA damaging therapies.
