TXNIP was absent or significantly reduced in less motile and invasive epithelial-like liver cancer cell lines HuH-7, HepG2 and PLC/PRF/5, while being up-regulated in highly motile and invasive lines SNU-182, -387, -423, -449, -475 and SK-HEP-1 at both mRNA (Figure 1A) and protein levels (Figure 1B).
