Pan-neuronal GR KOs (targeting all neurons and glia cells; GRNesCre) and forebrain glutamatergic neurons (FBGRKO) all increase anxiety-like and/or depressive-like behavior (Boyle et al., 2005, 2006; Furay et al., 2008; Hartmann et al., 2017; reviewed in Tronche et al., 1999; Wei et al., 2004; Kolber et al., 2008; Solomon et al., 2012), and most cause increased HPA axis responsiveness to stress (however see Vincent et al., 2013).
