The 21 genes are involved in various pathways that regulate the processes implicated in the development of preeclampsia and are as follows: endothelial/angiogenesis (VEGFA, VEGFC, VEGFR1, VEGFR3); dopaminergic system (GRK4, DRD1); renin-angiotensin system (AGT); immunity and inflammation (ERAP2, CTLA4, IL1A, TNSF13B); lipid metabolism (LPL); oxidative stress and detoxification (eNOS, CYP1A2, PON1, EPHX1, GSTP1); key signaling proteins (ACVR2A), hormone and neurotransmitter regulation (COMT) and protein biosynthesis (MTR and MTRR). This evidence concerns the gene ACVR2A and preeclampsia.
