As we were interested in the impact of Atg7 deficiency in T cells on the development of diet-induced experimental atherosclerosis, we injected Lck-Cre Atg7f/f and Atg7f/f mice with an adenoassociated virus encoding an active variant of PCSK9 (rAAV2/8-D377Y-mPCSK9) and fed them a WTD for 22 weeks to induce advanced atherosclerosis. This evidence concerns the gene PCSK9 and atherosclerosis.
