CXCL10 and infection: We confirmed a productive infection of HSV-2 in mouse vagina by immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence-histochemistry assays (Supplementary Material Figures 1A,B), while Cytometric Bead Array (CBA) showed that the production of mouse chemokines CXCL9 and CXCL10 was significantly increased (Figure 1A).
