An association between clinicopathologic parameters of patients with ISCC and nuclear HES1 was observed with respect to tumor size, tumor vaginal invasion, FIGO stage, and lymph node metastasis, suggesting the contribution of HES1 to progression, aggressiveness, and invasion of tumor, thereby showing its potential clinical utility as a candidate predictive marker for CC. Here, HES1 is linked to metastatic malignant neoplasm in the lymph nodes.
