The highest level of leptin was determined in case of an obese child (>99th percentile) diagnosed with asthma (97.5 ng/mL) associated with an increased level of IL-6 (58.6 ng/mL) followed by an overweight child (88th percentile) with 97.4 ng/mL salivary leptin associated with a moderate increased level of IL-6 (23.06 ng/mL). Here, LEP is linked to asthma.
