Rs1800925 in IL-13 was significantly associated with breast cancer in one of two data sets tested, as well as in an overall meta-analysis of the SBCGS data (4305 cases and 4194 controls; OR 1.12, (95% CI: 1.03–1.21) p = 0.011) (Table 4), with the same direction of association as in the Canadian data. This evidence concerns the gene IL13 and breast cancer.
