Despite the proven role of HLA‐DP rs3077, HLA‐DP rs9277535, and HLA‐DQ rs7453920 polymorphisms in the devolvement of diseases like hepatitis B, no current evidence shows whether HLA‐DPA1 (OMIM: 142880), HLA‐DPB1 (OMIM: 142858), and HLA‐DQB2 (OMIM: 615161) genetic variants could influence the outcome of TB. The gene discussed is HLA-DPA1; the disease is hepatitis B virus infection.
