This study provides good proof that Lf can inhibit MPTP-induced oxidative stress and neuroinflammation, and it showed the expressions of the antioxidant enzymes SOD1 and GPX4 were upregulated, while the ROS content and the expressions of the gliocyte markers GFAP and Iba1 were decreased; moreover, there was higher NF-κB activity and the expressions of proinflammatory TNF-α and IL-1β were decreased in the nigrostriatal tissues of PD mice following hLf treatments. The gene discussed is TNF; the disease is Parkinson disease.
