TP53 and small cell lung carcinoma: These findings (particularly the fourth) suggest that further evaluation of this Ad.p53-DC vaccine and the role that it may play in the treatment of SCLC (and potentially other p53-overexpressing tumors) should be considered in the context of combinations with the other immunomodulatory drugs in an attempt to better remove/reduce the immunosuppressive effects in the tumor microenvironment and create a more susceptible milieu for immunization, which should yield a positive immunotherapeutic anti-tumor response.
