These authors, in fact, by comparing miRNA sequencing of exosomes derived from CAFs and exosomes secreted by fibroblasts from HCC (Hepatocellular Carcinoma) patients, demonstrated that CAF-derived exosomes stimulate cell proliferation lacking protective elements such as the miR-320a that, on the contrary, is transported by NF-exo and is able to inhibit HCC growth through MAPK targeting [87].
