PBRM1 and nonpapillary renal cell carcinoma: As PBRM1 deficiency has been shown to boost the efficacy of immune checkpoint drugs in ccRCC and other cancers (Miao et al., 2018; Pan et al., 2018), the disruption of H3K14ac recognition by PBRM1 has the potential to increase the response rate of immunotherapy and warrants further investigation.
