Laboratory data at the time of admission revealed worse platelet count (p = 0.013), total bilirubin (p < 0.001), aspartate transaminase (p < 0.001), albumin (p = 0.001), and alanine transaminase (p < 0.001) levels in the concomitant biliary infections group than in the non-acute cholangitis group.
