Among the most interesting findings of the study was identification that: (1) certain profiles of TLRs’ expression tended to coincide with particular forms of WHV infection; (2) analysis of the TLRs transcription in hepatocytes provided more distinct association with infection form than that of total liver tissue, as in case of CH and SLAH/SOI, and (3) the profiles of TLRs’ expression in PBMC rather poorly correlated with those of the liver and hepatocytes observed in different forms of infection. Here, C4B is linked to infection.
